What to Bring to an Appointment
- Original current Government issued photo identification (e.g. current Passport or Australian Driver’s Licence) for each person who is to have document/s prepared .
- Bring a detailed record of the following:
- Real estate (property that you own or have a share in), including investment properties. Examples of these could be a house, unit, apartment, commercial property etc.
- Bank accounts.
- Life insurance policies.
- Shares and other investments.
- Motor vehicle details.
- Jewellery, artworks and any other significant assets.
- Superannuation funds, and who is nominated as a beneficiary of your death benefit.
- Details of any liabilities (e.g. mortgages, credit card, personal loans, car loans etc).
- Your list of questions or concerns for the lawyer to answer.
- The original document/s to be signed. Please note that pre-signed document/s will not be accepted.
- Original of each document that requires a copy or copies to be made and certified.
- All persons who intend signing the document/s and any witnesses that are required.
- Original current forms of identification for each person who is to sign the documents e.g. passport and Australian driver’s license. You must bring at least 100 points of ID. To see all forms of accepted identification, click the list of options.
The name(s) of the person(s) executing the document must be exactly the same as the form of photo identity brought to the appointment.
